About ScandiBrown

ScandiBrown is a brand that grew out of the Brown salon in Borås, Sweden. It all started in 2019, when I, Rebecka Hallberg, founded Brown with a clear vision: to create a place where quality, feeling and results are always in focus.

From the very beginning, I had a dream of one day creating my own products – especially within self-tan and spray tan. I felt that what was available on the market didn't quite measure up. The products were often drying, contained a lot of alcohol, had strong fragrance and heavy bronzer – and the result was often patchy, difficult to apply or hard to maintain over time.

Many customers found self-tan difficult to use at home. As practitioners, we also found that the scent and ingredients in many spray tan products didn't make for a particularly pleasant working environment. Above all, I missed products that lasted a long time, felt gentle on the skin – and faded naturally and beautifully.

That's where the search for better alternatives began.

In 2021, we launched our first own product: our Gradual Tan Mist. It quickly became a bestseller and a huge favourite among our customers. It was exactly what I had been missing – easy to use, simple to apply and with a natural, even result.

In 2023, I found our first supplier of spray tan solutions for our own formulas. We used them exclusively at the salon for a full year before we felt completely confident in launching them to other salons. In spring 2024, we started selling our spray tan solutions to salons across Sweden – and the reception has been absolutely fantastic.

What makes our products unique is that many are formulated without alcohol, which means they don't dry out the skin. The result lasts longer, the colour fades evenly and naturally, and the skin feels moisturised and fresh for longer.

At its core, ScandiBrown is about one simple thing: it should be easy to feel beautiful.

It should be simple to apply your self-tan at home – without stress, without hassle and without fear of patches or uneven results.

And for those who work professionally with spray tan, we want to offer solutions that are reliable, forgiving and hard to get wrong – so that you, treatment after treatment, can give your clients an even, natural and beautiful result.

Beauty shouldn't feel complicated. It should fit into everyday life.

Our products are created to simplify, to give a result you can trust – and to make it easy to feel beautiful, every day.

For several years, our products lived under our salon name Brown Borås. But eventually I felt it was time for the products to have their own world to grow in – something that could become bigger than both Borås and Sweden.

And so ScandiBrown was born.

ScandiBrown is today the natural home for all our own products. Here they have the space to grow, evolve and take their place in a world of their own. We are incredibly proud to now be able to relaunch our products in a new design that we truly love – a design that feels cohesive, timeless and in line with our sense of Scandinavian simplicity and quality.

The products are of course still available at our salon, but ScandiBrown is today an independent brand with a bigger vision.

I am incredibly grateful for all the love and appreciation our products have received over the years – and so proud, excited and inspired to now let ScandiBrown have its own life and continue to grow.
